Discover the Carnival Glory and its main decks: relaxation areas, lively zones, and cruise tips to make the most of your cruise aboard this iconic ship from Carnival Cruise Line.
Discovering the Carnival Glory
Scheduled cruise: April 10 – 24, 2026
Barcelona • Alicante • Malaga • Gibraltar • Celebration Key • Port Canaveral
There are cruises you wait for with anticipation. And then there are those that have a special flavor.
In April 2026, we will embark on a transatlantic crossing aboard the Carnival Glory, a journey that will connect Barcelona to Florida, with several stops in the Mediterranean before setting course for the west.
But this ship is no stranger to us.
We have already had the chance to sail on her in 2015 and again in 2018, and returning on board always gives that feeling of finding a familiar place.
The Carnival Glory is one of those ships that leaves memories.
Perhaps because of the unique atmosphere of Carnival Cruise Line, perhaps also thanks to this simple philosophy that the company sums up in two words:
![]()
And no doubt because it was on this ship that we met a cruise director who was already dancing in the elevators of the Atrium by dancing on top of the bar long before that was found in other companies!
Before embarking on this new adventure, we therefore wanted to help you discover the ship and its various areas, so that everyone can already imagine life on board.
A ship designed for life at sea
The Carnival Glory belongs to the Conquest class, a generation of ships designed to offer large spaces and very fluid circulation. Approximately 290 meters long and capable of accommodating nearly 3,000 passengers, it is large enough to offer numerous activities, while remaining sufficiently human-scale for one to quickly feel at home.
A few stairs are enough to go from a lively lounge to a quiet exterior deck facing the ocean.
During a transatlantic crossing, this sensation is even stronger: the ship little by little becomes a small floating world, paced by days at sea, ports of call, and encounters.
The heart of the ship: where the evening begins
When the sun disappears behind the horizon, the Carnival Glory changes atmosphere.
Passengers head towards the theater, the bars, and the lounges that gradually come to life.
The grand theater hosts the main shows: dance, music, comedy... always in that dynamic and festive atmosphere typical of Carnival.
Further away, the lounges take over.
A pianist makes the room sing. A live band transforms a lounge into an improvised dance floor. At the casino, the lights are already flashing. It is this mix of energy and conviviality that, in our opinion, makes the charm of Carnival cruises.
People laugh easily there, conversations begin spontaneously, and passengers often end up meeting every evening as if they had known each other for a long time.
ℹ️ Good to know CWUS
Carnival is often nicknamed "the most fun cruise line in the world."
The slogan Choose Fun is not just a simple marketing slogan: it really reflects the atmosphere on board.
Entertainment, music, improvised parties... here, you don't take yourself too seriously, and that is exactly what makes the experience so pleasant.
The Lido deck: the soul of Carnival cruises
If there is one place that perfectly summarizes the Carnival spirit, it is the Lido deck.
Around the pools, the lounge chairs face the sea. Some passengers read, others talk, and many simply enjoy the sun. But everyone will be present for the " Sailaway Party ! "
The smells of cooking quickly attract attention. The Guy’s Burger Joint, created by chef Guy Fieri, serves burgers that have become almost legendary at Carnival (and we love them!!). Right next door, the BlueIguana Cantina prepares tacos and burritos in a very casual atmosphere. On the Glory, almost all the restaurants are included, so give them a try!
During days at sea, this deck becomes a true hub of activity: games, music, contests, and entertainment set the pace for the day.
But sometimes, all you need to do is walk a few meters away to find a quiet spot facing the ocean.
📍 CWUS Tip
The Lido deck is often very lively at noon.
To enjoy the pools more peacefully, try coming here in the late afternoon: the atmosphere becomes calmer and the sunlight is magnificent.
Observing the ocean
On an Atlantic crossing, there are also much quieter moments. When you head up to the upper decks, the hustle and bustle gradually disappears. All that remains is the wind, the sea, and the horizon.
This is often where people come to watch the sunsets. The sky turns shades of orange, the ship leaves a long white wake behind it, and you realize that for several days... the sea will be our only landscape.
You can also go to the promenade on deck 5 to be even closer to the sea...
🌊 Our favorite spot on board
We particularly like the upper aft decks of the Carnival Glory.
The view of the ship's wake is spectacular, especially at sunset. It is also a place that is often quieter, perfect for simply watching the ocean drift by.
The little pleasures typical of Carnival
Certain things are part of the Carnival experience and contribute enormously to the atmosphere on board. Between the fruit juices in the morning, lemonade, coffee, tea, and ice cream, all included for free and self-service all day long, almost 24/7!
And then there is the pizza... at any hour, because on Carnival, pizza is almost an institution.
The Pizza Pirate counter serves pizza 24/7, which means that at any time of day or night, you will always be able to find a hot slice made to order!
And believe us: after a lively evening, it is often one of the most popular spots on the ship.
Towel animals
Carnival regulars know this tradition well.
Each evening, the cabin steward leaves a little creation made with towels on the bed: a dog, an elephant, a monkey... sometimes even more original shapes; it has become a symbol of the company.
And once per cruise, it even happens that hundreds of towel animals invade an entire deck of the ship, to the delight of the passengers!
The Serenity Deck
For those looking for a little more tranquility, the Carnival Glory also has an area reserved for adults: the Serenity Deck.
A quiet place, with lounge chairs and hot tubs, perfect for reading a book or simply enjoying the sun away from the excitement.
On a transatlantic crossing, this is often one of the most peaceful spots on the ship.

The essential places to know
The Carnival Glory is an easy ship to understand once you know the three main areas.
🎭 Heart of the ship — Nightlife
(Decks 3 – 4 – 5)
This is where you will find:
The Amber Palace theater, the casino, several bars and lounges, the shops, the piano bar, and the majority of the evening shows and entertainment.
This is the busiest area of the ship once night falls.
🍔 Lido Deck — The center of the day
(Deck 9)
You will find:
The pools, the main buffet, Guy’s Burger Joint, BlueIguana Cantina, and deck entertainment.
During days at sea, this is where you feel the Choose Fun spirit of Carnival the most.
🌅 Upper Decks — Calm and the view
(Decks 10 – 11 – 12)
These decks are perfect for:
Watch the sea, admire the sunsets/sunrises, enjoy the Serenity Deck, work out, or go to the spa.
This is often where one comes to relax during long days at sea.
📍 CWUS Tip
If you are lost on the ship, remember this simple rule:
Bottom = evenings
Middle/Top = restaurants and pools
Top = relaxation and panorama
In just a few hours, you will know the ship like the back of your hand.
🔎 Three "underrated" spots on the Carnival Glory
Even after several cruises, there are always corners of the ship that many passengers never discover.
Here are three places that we particularly like.
🌊 The aft view of the wake
Many passengers spend their time around the pools... but completely forget about the back of the ship.
Yet, it is one of the most beautiful spots on the boat.
The view of the wake is spectacular, especially:
at sunset, early in the morning, during days at sea.
🍕 Late-night Pizza Pirate
Most passengers discover this place on the first night... and then return regularly.
Pizza Pirate serves pizza 24/7.
But the most fun time is often between 11 p.m. and 1 a.m., when the ship's night owls meet there after the shows or the casino.
🌴 Serenity Deck at sunrise/sunset
The Serenity Deck is the area reserved for adults. Many come here in the afternoon... but few passengers think to go there at sunrise/sunset.
And yet, when the ship glides silently over the ocean, it is one of the most peaceful places on the whole boat.
A ship we look forward to returning to
Returning to the Carnival Glory after several years will inevitably have something special about it.
Some ships leave a deeper impression than others, and this one is clearly among those we have enjoyed the most.
Perhaps because of its atmosphere, perhaps because of the memories we created there.
Or perhaps simply because Carnival ships have that extra something that makes every cruise different.
Either way, we can't wait to get back on board! And this time, it will be to cross the Atlantic!!!
See you on board
If you are part of the group that will be embarking with us for this cruise, this brief overview should already allow you to imagine life on board.
But one thing is certain: on a ship like the Carnival Glory, there will always be a new place to discover.
A deck that one hadn't explored yet, a bar one had never entered, or simply a quiet corner to watch the sea go by.
And it is often in these simple moments that the best cruise memories are born.
So, as Carnival says so well...
